Achilles tendinopathy is characterized by localized tendon pain, morning stiffness, and functional disability during activities such as jumping and running. It is a common injury among runners, constituting between 9 and 15% of the so-called "running injuries".
The University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in collaboration with the marathon of San Sebastián is carrying out a study to investigate the forces transmitted to the tendon for a more optimal rehabilitation of the injury.
